These skis are extremely awful for butters. I have recieved painful shin/cafebang from them. Im geuss alot of people have PE's...how do you like there flex?

ya...its not that much fun to try and butter on em. but mine are a lil more worn in than yours prolly...03-04's

Yeah, i didn't know how stiff they were until i tried that shit. I bought them for all mountain though, and they are killin everything.

if you want a K2 plank that butters well, pick up the Fujative. as Vicious said, the PE is not designed to be butter-friendly.

I geuss i diserve it for compaining about how soft my ski were last year. I just wish i didnt have to wait 3 days between skiing to acctually do stuff because of shinbang.

no, they're not even close to "incredibly soft". they're probably stiffer than most twin tips out there. ever ski the Pistol? that's a pretty soft ski. the Vicious is NOT "incredibly soft".

you guys are idiot he was talking about the member- Vicious- who said that the PE's were not built for buttering. jeeze.

the english grammar says that if he would have refered to a person the word would have been "is", not "are". that's right, i'm swedish. I know english

if you want to be able to butter without putting your wait into it, try the ARV's

the only thing i have to say about that ski is holy shit problly twice as soft as the fujative, i have fujitives they are soft skis. arv's are like... damn

Dude my shins are so banged that i made no bone left in that area. I can touch my big toe to my knee cap.

my buddy's sponsored by Head and says the Mojo is a piece of work. great ski, but so damn hard to even think about buttering. says it rides better than any other park ski he's been on, though.

if you mean like nosepress on boxes, stiffer skis are better for that, cuz if the ski flexes while you are on the mox you have to lean farther to keep from sliding off.

but for sure. you definatley gotta be a man to butter them. it takes alot outa you.

Im not trying to be a bitch, but if you wanted a butter ski you should have gone with the Fujative.

thats the thing. i want a ski i can butter with, but i want to be able to go fast and chrge you know? thats just not possible with a ski like the fugitive. i mean its not like a terrible all mountain ski, but some of the stuff ive been doing wouldnt be possibel with a ski that is that soft.

I totally know where your coming from. I ski stiffer skis becuase whenever I want to throw down off cliffs or charge steep lines, I dont want my $300 "flexy" skis with a "butter zone" shaking so much I eat it. Sure, these skis are some of the best skis you could have for the park, but I dont ski park 100% of the time. I ski park when theres nothing else to do.

yeah i just caant afford 2 pairs of skis. i might get my old trouble makers remounted for fucking around on but i know the edges are gonna be fucked so im not sure if its worth it. but at least i would get some new bindings out of it, so maybe next season i could have 2 pairs

i think "buttering" and "dropping cliffs and powering through new lines" shouldn't be put in the same sentence..

they both require different skis - and i dont know of a ski that can do both without difficulty

yea the mojos are super nice ski. THye are pretty stiff, but i can still butter a bit,

I could butter fine with publics though.

yeah i got the same thing, i didnt really think it was from the ski, but i put the booster strap under the shell against the liner, and that worked well.

my PE's are the softest pair of skis i have owned. I have had two pairs of lines before the PE

coming from Lines, these butter so well, so i dont really care that much.

i think it might be the whole K2 line overall. i have the juvy's and i cant butter without the fear of breaking them, popping out of my bindings, or wreaking my shin

Ummmmmm, you guys do know that shin bang is a reslut of ill fitting boots, right?

It has nothing to do with skis. It's like blamming it on your pants. Get Booster straps or a softer flexing boot or bulk up.

^ sure it can involve your skis. if you have a hard tail and do tail presses all the time the force will affect your shins.

exactly what cf said. It's like saying, "Man, I just bought this sweet honda civic, but it sucks when I take it off-roading."

you just need to grow some muscles, i have a brand new pair of 06 karmas (a stiff ski) and i can still butter on them...

I tried by leaning forward on my PE's and my tails got only 2cm's up. i'm only 119lbs but still...

PE's are too stiff to do that stuff with.....its an all mountain twin tip

K2 makes a skinnier park ski with soft tips/tails for that
