Im looking into buying the 06 line invaders andi was wondering if any of you have and feedback on them.

Are they a good ski? too stiff? too soft?

does the butter zone actually help with nose/tail presses

and is it a good all around ski?

any help would be appriciated

Oh yea im about 5,1, 100 pounds, and i ski 50% park, 50% everytthing else

And i ski in quebec...if that help at all

they had mad problems thats all i know... they were delaminating and breaking everywhere so if u want a durable ski do not get these

if you're looking for cheaper park skis buy fujatives...they are just a tad more expensive and are much much more durable. you can get them for really cheap if you get last years

are u serious?? he said 50/50...fugatives=park ski....

i would say get either the originsl chronics if you can find them...or maybe last years wides...

once again, they delaminate...so i guesse not. If you ski 50/50, get mroe of a all mtn ski...

scratches, chronic, public enemy, ar5...

if you dont ski 95-100% park, you shouldnt get a park specific ski.

well, thats not saying you cant....i ski about 90% park, and i have t-halls...its not like the thalls cant go in powder, or on grooomers. there is no lable on the ski saying "this is for park only". you can ski any ski anywhere, juast it will not preform as well as other skis may.

The old ones did have some issues, but so have alot of other skis the first year out, wait and see what people say about them, they very well could have fixed the delam problem and they'd be a very sweet park ski that would hold up well.

do not buy the 06 vaders buddy...a lot of them had mad delam issues among others...this year they changed the ink in the ski (the cause of the delam issue last year) so they are gonna be 100% better this year...i've ridden them in park and on groomers n shit...dope ski for park, great for cruising...and if you're small enough they should be decent for powder

ive got last years scratchs and they are awesome for everything, theyre stiff enough to handle high speeds on hardpack, fat enough to ski some pretty deep pow and soft enough for the park...since you ski like 50 50 then they should prolly be aight

just make sure you mount em more centered than the modern mounting line if you wanna ske a lotta park cuz its pretty far back

first of all, my friend rocks the invaders, and has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER had any problems with them. He used them on everything you can imagine, rails, pipe, HUGE jumps. That is just more NS bullshit, on kid says they suck and they all do.

Here is what i thought of them, the eliptical sidecut is CRAZY, you can carve shit like a snowboard. The butter zones don't really help you out. They are pretty light from the wood core, but there are some lighter sticks out there. It takes some time getting used to the centre mount though.

i rode invaders all last year as my park/all mtn ski (i live in PA). they had some delam issues, but that's fixed for this year. they were hands down the best park ski i'ver ever been on. they're well balanced on rails and in the air, stable enough to come hauling full speed into big hits, obviously amazing riding switch. i thought that the flex pattern did make it easier to butter and press; the flex is actually pretty similar to the troublemakers. they ski a lot better all mountain than a ski that cheap should, thats for sure.

My friend, who is about your size, had them last season. He didnt ride them much, so I cant really say anything about them. But they look like cool skis.

dude, get the invaders, the 06-07 models don't have the delam problem, which was a complete bitch last year. Butter zone is sweet, maybe to soft if you're gonna do 50/50, but try the Chronic, they are stiffer and are ment for all mountain

or try the anthem...same idea as the invader witht he butter zones etc but its wider and because of that a bit stiffer...definately look into them if you're wanting a good all around ski...and if you weigh that little a softer ski like the invader or anthem is gonna be easier for you to move around

LINE & K2 GET IT TOGETHER

PROGRESSION MEANS CHANGE... DON'T FEAR IT!

Yes, LINE Skis and K2 are joining forces.

Surprising news but don’t panic, it’s all good.

We reckon this is the best possible reward LINE could give us in its 10th anniversary year. It means LINE’s future is guaranteed and we can all continue to ride the most progressive freeride freestyle range of skis out there.

LINE’s story is pretty special. Built on the spirit and invention of Jason Levinthal and his team, since he first created a pair of LINE Skiboards in his parent’s garage in 1995, LINE has been called the “Burton of skiing” for good reason.

To have played such a vital role in creating twin tip skiing and to have injected new life and excitement in skiing in the face of the massive popularity of snowboarding would be achievement enough.

To manage to stay true to your core beliefs, pushing at the boundaries non-stop with constant invention, not only with skis but with bindings too, that deserves respect.

To do all this while creating a globally recognised alpine ski company in one of the most competitive and toughest industries around, that’s a miracle.

But however progressive you are, however much respect you get for what you do, however many miracles you produce, there are still realities to deal with, like how to get the best quality, best performing freestyle and freeride skis from the drawing board to the feet of core riders everywhere.

This is where K2 will come in. Whatever you think of them, K2 have massive experience, facilities and resources. With them taking care of the manufacturing and logistics stuff, LINE can now achieve all its potential, all the dreams of the guys behind LINE can become reality…

Some things to know before the rumour mill gets going:

LINE Skis will continue to be the most progressive, inventive, core freeride and freestyle ski company out there.

Jason Levinthal, Founder and President of LINE Skis, will remain top dog, guru leader.

The range of LINE Skis for the 06/07 Season will be available as planned with loads of new skis for you to fall in love with, including the unique Sir Francis Bacon, the stomping Chronic Blend, the all-terrain Prophet 90, the rocking Anthem and the damn sexy new Celebrity, to name a few.

The new clothing and accessories for the 06/07 Season will be available too, so you can look good off the mountain too. There’s even a new version of the “I Am A Skier” tee… virtually a collector’s item already!

With K2 taking care of manufacturing and shipping, the quality of production will be like you had come to expect before the new factory opened last year with its teething problems. Bombproof wood core skis that don’t just ski great but look sick too.

The UK and Norwegian LINE Pro Ski team will continue to lead the progression with riders like Andy Bennett, Murray Buchan, Gaute Haaker, Jo Guest, Paddy Graham, Tom Last and Mike Wakefield doing their thing over the Summer around Europe and on into next season.

This website and www.LINEskis.com will continue to be your source for news and information on what riders are up to, the new range, events and camps etc.

This is not the end, we’re just getting started!
