Ok the fuja's are 169cm and the Dogens 168cm

I am 5 11' 147lbs. I am not the best but plan to improve alot this season, so I need somthing to hold up for next, help?

you need a ski that's at least 175 cm. my reccommendation would be 181, or in this case, 179. in my opinion the fgatives are better. k2 makes pretty durable skis and the fugatives are no exception. if im not mistaken the dogens have had topsheet issues recently and i think they wouldn't really be any better than the fugatives even if they had the same durability. but yeah, definately 179

I'm not so sure thats the best choice. From the sounds of it, hes just getting into skiing, or hasnt been skiing for long. I think thats a shorter ski will help him get a feel for the park, and to find his own style.

Going too long at first can be a bit of a problem. Once you are more advanced, then a longer ski will help with your stabibility, landings, spins, etc.

I would say a 169 would be ok for this season, but if you progress a lot, you may find them too short the next season afert. Its a tough choice, but I wouldnt exceed 175 cm

Yeah I was on shorter skis last season (that was my first serious season) and just started to get down some grabs

well then, maybe look for a 175 ish, give or take a little. I wouldnt, however, get anything longer than like a 178.

go at least around 175-180 man, it would be a joke if u got shorter...both skis arent the greatest but the fujitive deff destroys the dogen anyday

A guy I know has fujas, and the rivites fell out, and they began to delam, and he doesnt even ride hard at all.

Volkls are said to be pretty solid. I would go with the 178 for sure.

Damn, I'm 5'6" and ride 169's. If I were you I'd go with the 179 Fuji's. It's a cheap, legit ski for the $$. And I also haven't heard great things about the Dogen. So yeah, that's my two cents.

yea theres a pair of 179 Fujas on Decade ski and skate for i wanna say 250 but somewhere around there

dude he should just get the 169's in the fujatives, 6cm's isnt gunna make much of a differnece...

How can some people recommend a Dogen?

That's like the worst Ski ever...

I've seen more broken Dogens than any other Ski.

do yourself a favor and DONT get dogens. i went throught two pairs in half a season. the first pair lasted three days and the second lasted about 20 days.

first pair the edge started ripping out from the back of the ski, and the second pair the topsheet was getting to the point where i could have ripped the whole thing off.

i have never skiied the fujatives but i have seen people beating ths shit out of them and they seem to hold up well.

get fujatives for suree i skied dogen for six days and the edge snapped on a misty and the tip totally ripped of in the same day
