06/07 Public enemy

thinking about getting the new public's this year...not as steezy lookin as last years i think, but i have only seen the new ones on photo. anyone seen them in action? any good? looks of them, dope?

i ride mostly park and i had the fujas but definitly want something a bit wider this year.

 
ok cool, thats good sign because i was actually thinking about the TM or the PE.

leaning towards K2 PE for sure now...
 
they are sick skis, just waiting to here about the topsheet problem. if theyve fixed it, or not, or whatever is going on..
 
they chipped like a motherfucker, mine not that bad but my friends were so badd, and the graphics on the new p.e.s are so much better than last years. i rode p.e.s all year and there pretty nasty everywhere, lil to heavy for my likes in the park tho...
 
are they really that heavy??

im buying from jibij.com and they dont have that big of an selection yet and i cant preorder, need em fast. thats why im thinking K2 again this year, all models are available now also. need something wider than my old fujatives.

i ride 70% park and 30% pow. 186cm high and about 76kg.
 
My topsheet's been pretty good. I haven't been totally in the park though so I dunno if that makes a different. Very durable and adaptable ski allround i've found.
 
Well the topsheet is still ptex, so I doubt the problem has been fixed, which is a bummer cuz that is the one thing I don't like about them.
 
I haved some 1080 before... everyone was saying there heavy you are not going to liked them... I don't see a big difference of weight...
 
does anyone actually know if they have fixed the topsheet problem? anyone has ridden them, works/skis for k2, or has tangibly touched/seen them?
 
I haven't ridden them, but I am holding them right now, and its still the soft ptex, so it appears that they didn't do anything to fix it.
 
yea no changes whatsoever to the ski from last year

mine were a little stiff for my likings, but i quickly broke them in... butter like mad now and i'm lovin' it.
 
Seen them in the shop.. the graphics are sweet bro. i got last seasons ones but havn't managed 2 get out on them yet
 
No, my 05/06 ones delamed towards the end of the year and when I warrantied them, they sent me to 06/07 models.
 
i have a pair of 05/06, rode them all season

the top sheet is super soft, like base material. if u just click ure skis together they can chip. expect to see a lot of the fiber glass under the chippage.
 
oh btw

my 169 05/06 pubs weigh roughly .5lbs more per ski than my 178 04/05 line skogs. both skis weighed without binders
 
yes i saw them when the rep came to my work(ski shop), appartenly they are keeping the ptex but changed it so theres less chipping, they look real dope but i was way more impressed with the dynastars, they have reinforced edges, uped the stiffness ever so slightly and they look real sick.
 
did they up the stiffness of the public enemy or the dynastars? Is the new public enemy lighter or heavier than last years?
