06/07 Pipe Cleaners on rails?

I know everyone says they have soft bases, but how fast would they fall apart if you were doing rails on them? Like... would it really be faster than any other ski?

the 06 pipecleaner break easily on rails but next year they have the ar6 edges so that they will be as good on rails as the ar6

The base wears a lot quicker than the AR6, some friends had 'em and were really disappointed...

the pipe cleaners have race bases, which are soooo sensitive

they'd be great for pipe(duh) and jumps and stuff

the difference is that edges on the 0607 PCs is a 1.7mm edge, while the rest of the Armada line (and this year's PCs) has a 2.3mm edge - it's just not as thick and won't hold up as well to rail impact... the bases are more porous too, so you need to make sure they get waxed regularly or they'll dry out quickly... you can definitely hit rails with them, but if there's rail-related damage and you go to warranty them, they won't be accepted....

haha when i read this thread i first freaked out becuase i just picked up a pair but after reading this reply and based off what my firend said they should hold up okay

that's the best way to go about it if you can afford a couple pairs of skis... when PCs are running well (sharp edges, good wax, etc...) they boost better than any other ski out there... they kill the pipe and booters

you could get a pair of fujas on here with bindings for like $200 or less, in decent condition, that's way better than killing sweet fast park skis
