so today, 10/30, chris and i headed up to stevens. it was cold, there was snow (only like 3 inches of really dry snow, deeper in places) but we managed to set up various rails (only 2 of the set ups are shown here).

there were some idiot snowboarders up there that spent a pissload of time building large jump to gap the creek at the base of skyline, but they never really took the time to realize it was 1) stupid and 2) they wouldnt have any speed. they couldnt even make it to the damn jump once they tried. they werent worth a picture.

well i cant see the pics even when i click them....any idea who the boarders were? i may know one of them.

woke from my nap. dont know who the boarders were. but seriously, it took them nearly 4 hours (after they had already built the jump yesterday) to realize it just wasnt possible. it was unreal. and the plants were intentional

haha, funny, but those are like 5 foot rails, and they have multiple ones. and lets just say that most people on here have some experience with rails. i just think it would be practicle to have boxes for beginners, and have like 20ft rails for them to learn on. oh, stevens used to have better rails, but they cut most of them up into little rails like these. wow, someone actually defended stevens legion of mini rails.

they definatly need a whole fleet of newer, longer rails. they built 2 at the end of last season that are super fun!!!! but it would be nice if they actually cared and built more - if they actually cared and got a whole new fleet of rails and boxes, they could easily have the best park in washinton. but we've been over this a million times......

hey were not all superstars, those rails are like 8 and 12 ft. both are great for learning on, and if you put them together it is not a bad flat down, especialy for the not so good among us, I would not mind something like that that is low to the ground for learnign disasters or switch ups. but I guess the problem is that that is all they have.

To compleatly change the direction of this, I just realized that this will be my third season of "freesking" and I can barley do a flat down rail, but when I snowboarded back in 7th grade I learned kink rails on the same day that I started doing rails. it took about 2 hours and I had almost all of the rails at snoqualmie west mastered. except this tiny little on that was a 5 ft flat bar. wow.

they need a 30ft down rail with a street style set up, or basically how they used to have the 40 footer set up, those are fun, they're perfect when they're high but not nuttable (for me)

it was tresspassing on school district property. but they were there looking for kids with airsoft guns or something, and we just happened to be there

is it the only skiing picture thread, cuz i just put some new non skiing pictures up, i dont feel like linking them up but they're in art, so everyone should go look at them! okay, go!
