06/07 Lines

I really like how line has a thinner and fatter ski in each category. Chon, Chron Blend. Invader, Anthem. Shadow, Celebrity. Eliz, SFB. I will point out that the SFB will probably be my next years ski.

so, can we get a recap?

what kind of ski si the sir francis bacon? how is it different fromt he elizabeth?

what is the chronic blend?

what is the anthem?

so ya i got to ride all next years stuff the other day and heres a rundown

Elizabeth and SFB same ski as this years lizzy just the sfb is a 182 and to keep the eliptical sidecut working they are 115 at waist.

chronic blend is just the chronic wide same ski as this year same with the Chronic

Invaders are the same ski just new graphics

Anthems are the best all round skis ever in my opinion they are 93 at the waist and ski like the invader just a litte bit stiffer because of the width deffintally my pic for next years best ski

profits are all the same just the edition of the 90

All in all next years lines aren't changing too much just the edition of 2 real bad ass skis in the SFB and the Anthem

Same advanced jib technology as the Invader but wider for enhanced versatility.

Prepare for your next park invasion. Status quo is your enemy, the Anthem is your weaponry and now the future of freestyle progression is in your hands.

The Anthem is the big bro of the Invader, the only ski in the world featuring a completely symmetric sidecut, centered stance, symmetric flex, and of course, LINE's Real Twin Tip, equal height tip and tail.

You’ve never been so comfortable bombing down the hill fakie.

The Anthem also features LINE's ground-breaking Elliptical Sidecut that actually helps you to carve off the lip of jumps for getting corked like a pro.

The Anthem’s most lethal weapon of jib destruction is its Butter Zone technology featuring actual hinge points in the tip and tail for smooth, controllable nose/tail presses & buttering like you’ve never felt before.

Unlike other brands of jib skis that handle like noodles, the Anthem’s Butter Zone doesn’t inhibit its all-mountain performance. Throw the Anthem on edge and you’ll be amazed by their stability and control.

What bindings should you get?

LINE Skis can be fitted with any bindings recommended by your retailer. LINE Reactor bindings are not available this season but just treat the skis like any others, ignore the insert holes (they are completely waterproof and part of the ski like on a snowboard) and have a pair of any manufacturer's bindings fitted... Look, Marker, Rossignol, Tyrolia etc etc. We use loads of different bindings on our own skis.

What did Scottish ski guru Rick Hutchings have to say after skiing the Chronic Blend?

"Many argued last year that the Chronic was one of the most versatile skis around. It enabled all levels of skier to enjoy all conditions, making it a true player. Now the Chronic Blend has taken the concept forward again with the addition of freeride geometry. Stability at speed and great edge hold are but a few of its traits. 90mm of ski underfoot and fatty edge & base give you the confidence to explore far and wide. Enjoy…."

Eric Pollard is the undisputed leader of today’s backcountry freestyle revolution.

Eric worked relentlessly with LINE all to develop the most unconventional yet progressive freestyle ski ever made. He named it “The Elizabeth.” His goal was for Elizabeth to handle less like a traditional ski and more like a snowboard.

After months of prototyping, we found the winning combination, incorporating a unique symmetric flex pattern with extra deep elliptical snowboard-like sidecut, a slant sidewall construction and -- a bunch of other secret ingredients we can’t share. The result is a fun, freestyle snowboard-like feel with incredible freestyle agility, especially in the deep stuff.

This is the freestyle powder ski of the future. Enjoy.

What did Scottish ski guru Rick Hutchings have to say after skiing the Elizabeth by Eric Pollard?

"The Elizabeth is the big surprise from the magician that is Eric Pollard, who stated, ‘I want my skis to ride the same as my snowboard’…. consider it done! In a 172cm only, this ski has tremendous edge hold at all speeds, on or off piste. One continuous flex through the full length of ski provides the smoothest ride that you are likely to experience in a fat ski. This is nothing short of a masterpiece."

The Humvee of big-mountain fat skis, built to charge the mountain!

Eric Pollard lives and thinks years ahead of his time, so when he prophesized the future of big mountain skis four years ago, LINE listened and constructed prototypes of the most innovative and progressive big mountain ski to date, the Prophet.

That season he tackled the most advanced mountains in the world from Alaska to Russia, while creating one of the best film segments of the year with Matchstick Productions.

After three more years of development the Prophet 130 is now strong, powerful, stable, agile, and even lightweight.

The geometry and flex pattern are both freeride-specific for effortless turn initiation, strong fall line directional handling and powerful acceleration out of your turns.

Its Maple Macroblock core provides all of the stability and power needed for a solid ride down without paying for it in extra weight on the hike up.

The Fatty Base and Edge are even twice the thickness for added durability on that cliff band you’ve been eyeing all season.

Prepare yourself, the Prophet is amongst us.

What did Scottish ski guru Rick Hutchings have to say after skiing the Prophet 130?

"The Prophet 130 stamps its mark on the ski scene as the fattest ski ever put into production. The powder benefits of a ski that is 130mm underfoot are obvious, but this is not a sluggish bit of wood. It handles surprisingly well everywhere, letting you get to and from the powder with no real problems. Step in, Step up, and let this this one fly."

Powerful, aggressive big mountain dominance.

The Prophet series represents over three years of research and development and working with Eric Pollard to create the next generation of big mountain freeride skis.

The Prophet 100 is LINE's most versatile in the series with a width that floats in the deep backcountry powder yet maintains plenty of agility, edge hold and responsiveness when ripping up the groomers on the way to the lift.

The secret ingredient lies in its Metal Matrix technology that provides extra power, edge-grip, stability and torsional responsiveness where you need it and reduces weight where you don’t.

The core is Maple Macroblock for exceptional stability and power with a Fatty Base and Edge for enhanced durability on those pow covered rocks.

The geometry and flex pattern are both freeride specific for effortless turn initiation, strong fall line directional handling and powerful acceleration out of your turns.

The Prophet 100 is quite simply the most versatile, big-mountain Freeride ski LINE have ever created. Enjoy.

What did Scottish ski guru Rick Hutchings have to say after skiing the Prophet 100?

"The Prophet 100 has set its own rules of engagement for big mountain dominance. The height of the ski underfoot has been reduced allowing for a fuller and more powerful turn shape. A Titanium Matrix top sheet throughout allows the full flavour to be released at top speed. Crud and powder now have a new enemy!"

^ all the skis in north america are going down in price quite a bit im not sure on the numbers as of yet but should be a $100-$200 on all the models

the SFB's look like awesome powder skis

I WANT THEM IN MY QUIVER (if i had one)

if they were my size

the blends look perfect for all conditions

cool, cheers, is that the 06/07model or the current 05/06??

i heard the regular chronic 06/07 is the same as the 05/06 chronic wide....can anyone tell me if this is the truth!!???

ah!!! i dont know what to get...should I get an all park ski like the anthem or the invader cuz i live on the east coast and i mostly ski park (80-90%) of the time, or should i get an all-mountain ski like the chronic and chronic blend cuz i want to be able to ski some bumps, woods, groomers and ocasional EC pow

go anthems, there wide enough for pow, like mini izzys.apparently they ski well on piste too.but if they dont, you can just ski everywhere on your tips(obviusly backwards)with your poles in some sort of 'steezzy' excuse for lazyness.

what you think??
