Okay, I've searched through the pub em threads and been through them and I can't find any concrete information. Some people say stiffer, some say softer, some say lighter, some say heavier. Is there anyone who can give me the real info on this ski, (preferably someone who owns them and knows the other PE's). My problem is that I have a pair of brand new 04/05 PE's and I can't decide wether to take em back and buy next years for 50 bucks more than I bought this years pair for or if I should just not even bother because the skis are so similar...Thanks for the help.

id get the new ones, they are softer and prob lighter ( i cant imagin making them heavyer) and they prob r stronger 2

they are actullaly stiffer....belive me!

i skied a pair this last season in a 179 and they are definately softer and lighter. im thinking about picking up a pair my self. i reconmend them

 
god damn it this is exactly what I was trying to avoid, both said they skied em and one said softer and one said stiffer...fuck

..chances are, that if people can't make a general statement about them ("they are stiffer/they are softer"), then the differences between them and last year's is probably not terribly signifigant.

i own a pair of 05/06 169 PE's, but i can not compare them to any other PE's because i have not skiied on them, sorry pal. Ask me any questions though, i skied a full 10 days on them! Great skis, super fast!

plus dont they have ptex upper layer so that you can shave scratches away or something?

t-man that bullshit, mine shipped with fucken chips in the damn thing... before i got to the god damn slops my shit was chippin' away, chuncks fell off when i rolled down a 70 foot cliff, pieces of shit skis! fast though i have them center mounted with look bindings... great set up!
