all they did was licence out the design from blizzard skis, and put a cool graphic on it......

it's really just an entry level carver......

Thats a fucking ugly graphic, in my opinion. Hahaha, my crazy friend I am teaching to ski said he liked the shiny salomon race ski graphics better than nice PE graphics. He likes shiny stuff.

ouch they are blizzard skis. why did line do that. their working there ass off trying to get a good name with line and then they go and make a blizzard ski. for those of you who dont know blizzard i know of them from racing that the skis completly suck. they are some peice of shit foam construction with the same cap construction line is having problems with now. disregard what i am saying. i just really dont like blizzard skis

well for all you dipshits out there - its all part of line expanding their product range to be able to cater for a wider range of skiers. And for the record i think that ski looks pretty dope - nice simple design. Not for me because of the small tail, but its ideal for plenty of skiiers out there

yeah most ski companys need to expand salkes to survive and cant just concentrate on twins, so doing this will allow line more money to help develop better twin

yeah they may seem ugly but, what 50 year old guy is going to buy a ski with a topsheet that looks like the skogens topsheet or the other twins, so keep in mind who the skis are being marketed to

i heared that they were cancelled cause of the state of the binding and how much money that they lost. i also heared that they have cancelled any new orders for the bindings other than what they already have made

yeah their binding sucked ass. it didn't feel stable at all. what happened to lines whole 'stay core' manifesto. they sure are venturing into markets which thay bashed a few years back. maybe it'll help em get some more money. but they sure are loosing alot of face. Fat ass old men are suppose to ride blizzards not lines. the new carving skis are gay.

the reason line is making a carving ski is because of the binding. the binding was getting alot of press in the science and technology world and majority of those ppl arent going to be skiing on a pair of mike nick pros, so in order to cater to their needs and make some much needed money line produced the carving ski

 
yah, but they are making a joke out of themselves to the people who bought into line to support a core company that would stick to pushing freeriding

every one needs to stop bashing becasue i can guarantee that almost all of you have never even been on a pair of blizzards, myself including. so unless youve actually ridden the ski, you have no right to criticize it negatively by the way it looks.

to those who keep saying line sold out and they are a big dissapointment now. line is only making this carving ski to make one thing: cash money. why? because there binding flopped and they lost a lot of money last season. why? because they tried their hardest to bring us an innovative binding in time for last season to keep pushing the sport and its equipment in new directions. why? because they are a core newschool company dedicated to the sport in ways you will never understand until you own that business. you think about that the next time you bash line for 'selling out.'

Here's a strange concept: a skiing company decides to make more than just twin-tip skis so that it can *gasp* make some money and stay afloat. What the hell is wrong with that? Who cares if Line makes twins, freerides, and carvers - they are still one of the few companies that only builds skis.

FYI: Line and Karhu share a factory, so even if the design was leased from Blizzard, chances are it will be made in the Line/Karhu factory.

Line can stay afloat by selling only twins. Are you saying next year we are going to see a line of Armada carving skis because they are going under. That is such bullshit. And Line isn't just making on carving ski they want to make abunch. maybe if they made a cool carving ski with kick ass graphics, but it just looks liek a race ski to me, and that is what line was trying to avoid in the past.

why do you people have this image of Line as being this super core company. they are not and never will be. they are a regular company trying to make money. look at it this way, at least the only products they make are ski related and they dont make tennis rackets and shit, and they are still rider owned and operated. Line is not some hole in the wall company run out of Jay's garage anymore, its a fullblown operation with a full line of twins and boots, and one of the most innovative bindings on the horizon. just because they expand their markets doesnt make them a shitty company. it makes them a company that feels the need to expand for the good of its business, enough said on this fuckin Line topic its getting repetitive now.

yeah line can stay afloat making just twins but why would line not want to make carving skis, and make a bigger name for themselves and make extra money off their carving ski so they can put that money into their binding and make it less shitty and make their skis even better, and they can drop the prices of their twins so they dont have to sell them for $650 a pop like armada, who makes only twins

just think about it people, only good can come from this, other than them supposedly not staying true to the movement which is retarded, nothing can come bad from this, or maybe they could make only twins and go out of business, that would be really true to the movement wouldnt it

Snonasty, I am saying that only time will tell if Armada and 4Frnt manage to stay afloat as simply NS companies, whether they tank, are bought out by a larger company, or branch out themselves. Armada has been out what, one season and this coming witner is 4Frnt's first season. Give them a few more years to see where they wind up. They may wind up doing the same thing Line has, or they may not. It is just too early to tell. Line's been around for a while and has made some mistakes (i.e. the binding) which cost them money. They have also done a lot for NS skiing in general and made some great products. They are simply doing what must be done to stay alive as a copmany. I'm sure everyone at Line likes their job.
