04/05 Rossi Scratch 200 vs. 04/05 Salomon 810Ti

Recently picked up some 1080's. Mounted them with the Rossi bindings.

Someone on NS told me that if I had mounted Salomon bindings, it would have extended the warranty to 2 years. Seems like a big deal, I cant believe the shop didnt tell me.

The other binding I was looking at was the Salomon 810Ti, it would have been $45 cheaper, and I would have got the extra year of warranty. Thinking I might complain.

Would the 810Ti do the job, or should I just stick with the Scratch 200?

Stick with the Scratch, you'll have WAY less problems down the road with those ones. I have 100+ days on one set that's been abused and I have never had a single problem with them.

Ressurecting an old thread. lol.

Sent my skis in for warranty. If they send my new skis I'm thinking about getting some S810 Ti's. Salomon lent me some skis for the weekend up at Tremblant, and I really liked the feel of the 912's. My DIN is at 7 so I think the S810's should be fine.

I skied the Rossi Scratch 200's about 10 times. The cheap crappy paint all chipped off. They released well when needed. FYI the Scratch 200's are the one's with good toe peices, but axium heel peices.

They felt decent, but I much preffered the feel of the Salomon's. In/Out was much smoother, and generally felt better/more stable all around. Also since I'm riding salomon skis...the added warranty is a bonus.

Thinking about giving the Scratch's to my mom and getting the S810's.

So Scratch 200's vs. S810's.

thoughts and comments appreciated.

most companies (rossi included) will pick up the second year of the warranty if you use their bindings, so its equal, no worries

The reason I'm thinking of changing is for the warranty benefits, and I just liked the feel of the Salomon's better...both in/out and while skiing.

810 might be too weak. I'm 5'4 and weigh 120 Lbs and broke them so many times then I got the 912 and they have been awsome

I have salomon bindings the S910 (Im not sure how simmilar the 810 and mine are) But mine have caused me no problems after 2 years with them

I'll see if I can get a deal on some S912's...although I dont mind warrantying the 810's if they break, they have a warranty of 5 years.

Any more thoughts?

Anyone else ski scratch 200's?

ive skiied the scratch 200 and had no prblem with it although ive never cased a jump bigger than 40 feet so... in the two years ive had them they worked great. extra light also
