04/05 pollards or 04/04 ar5's

Those two skis couldn't be more different..
The Pollards are a powder ski with jib abilities and a 90mm (pretty sure) waist, and the tail twin is the same height as the front. Same ski as some Karhu ski (made with telemark in mind)
The AR5 waist changes by lenght and the 180 has a 80mm waist and one size smaller --> 2mm thinner. It's a park specific ski, I've skied powder with 'em and they're great but no, you can't compare these two.

Pollards are a go anywhere ski. they handle the park just as well as they handle powder. I beleive the ar5 is a more park specific ski than the pollard. i've only been on the pollard though, so i couldn't give you a tech look.

Do you think there will be much difference between this years and last years pollards? They're the same size, and I know the new ones supposedly have bigger edges and thicker bases, but how much bigger and thicker do you think they are? Will it make a big difference? So basically do you think the new ones are worth $200 more?

they're cool. i think I'm gonna get pollards. I think the thing that sold me was the mount. they are really mid mounted. there's lots of tail and I like lots of tail. I was comparing the 186 pollards and the 176 skogans (both last years) in my shop and when you put the mount points side by side the pollards are only like 2 or 3 cm longer in the front, but way longer in the back. Does anyone know if the mount position is changed for this years skogans? They're 178 this year right?
