so....i was talking to a guy at the shop today and he told me that there will be a line ski next yr that has a replaceable piece underfoot...you will be able to buy a piece that will screws in underfoot(base and edge) with screw holes that are sunk in to the base...hopefully it works out...i can see it having some major structurally problems...but if they pull it off that would be wicked sick.

yeah and no more 1260.. its getting replaced by jay levs new ski called 'the chronic' and its gonna be 80 mm under foot and all the pro models are gonna get wider as well

o great i hope that it is as good as the pivigy or what ever it was called last year that ended up being a flop why dont the just stick to what is normal so that they wont fail as a company

 
stick to what's normal? where would twin-tips, and all of us for that matter, be with 'sticking to normal' we'd be mogulers or snowboarders. Line might not have made the greatest choices or had the best of luck over the last couple years, but if they're really doing all that stuff (pivogy binding, four-hole pattern, removable piece underfoot) then that's pretty ballsy for a small company and is really pushing the progression of our sport. Which is why I'd sooner support and buy a Line ski than Salomon ski for example. Maybe if I turn into a ski god and the Skogens are all of a sudden not good enough for me I'll look into the best ski out there, but 'till then I'm sure they'll be just fine
