'03 1080's for allmountain

are the new 1080's good for all mountain skiing cuase i do that about 75% of the time and jump sna dstuff like 25%. i jsut want to know if i made the right choice cause the salesman siad they were really good for all mountain.Also, this will be my first year with twintips so i will do some more tricks.

i got some 1080 171's
 
They are wide so they are good all mountain skis, just watch out for the foam core, spaceframe has a tendency to snap in half.

Don't worry about it.

They float well in powder. Are laterally stiff for carving the groomers. Soft enough in the tip to soak up bumps and jump transitions.

It's a good all-round resort board if you're limited to one ski.

1080's are a fun all mtn ski,, you can carve bannanas turns,, but they are soft,, but i've skied them all day on the east coast and had fun,,, plus a super tree ski

 
thanx cuase i was starting to have doubts and i payed for like 2/3 of the ski so i would be screwed for like the next 3 years i use em

i heart them, very good for east....i don't care how many people put them down, there is something bad about any ski!

how far from center dshould i mount them for mostly alot of all mountain (like mostly moguls and tree skiing)? Also, can you cange the size of a binging on a ski like 3 sizes without remouintina or no? The 912 bindings

if you are 25percent park, mount them at the reccommended mounting point. They were designed with a sidecut and for you to make best use of that then mount them normal. The only reason for centre mounting is for specialised park skiing.
