Well i ripped the rear rivet out of my ski, I contacted k2 by email and they said they would warranty the ski. Unfortunately, they said there were no pe's in stock so i cant get a new pair till the end of the season...How can this be a good warranty if they are out of stock on the f'in pair of skis...what if i broke them in half then what would they say.....bastards..

Why don't you just ski them like they are until the end of the season and get them replaced... even if they had them in stock now youd have to wait like a month and a half to get the new pair. Waste of time, send them off when you can't ski anymore.

 
is that all that happened is the rivet came out? or is your ski starting to delam.....either way just ski it until it falls apart, i'd rather have broken skis anyday than no skis at all

Dude, just ski them. My boards have total tip delam for about 4 inches. There are literally holes in the base of the ski. Ski it until your season's over and warranty the mother.

Listen, K2's warrenty department cant be at fault because the Pe was so popular this year that they sold out. Matter of the fact is that the 03 04 was sold out in early november, and that the 04-05 is already sold out of first ship. Im sure that if you were in a position where your ski was in 2 pieces, you would get a differant reply from k2. being that your ski has a blown rivit, which is obviously from ''missuse/abuse'' you should consider yourself pretty dam lucky that k2 is going to send you next years publics later in the season.

Also, did you contact K2 yourself, or did you go through an authorized dealer? cause going through a dealer always helps the situation.

i kind of just emailed them as a random question i havent put it through the dealer yet..and i figure i should just ride these boys out the rest of the season

definitely check with the shope where you got 'em. sometimes your shop will be the middleman and if they have decent stock will front you some new skis.
