Yes I have, and I've been out driving around trying to ski since 9am. Either the roads are closed, or none of the trailhead lots are plowed, and they tow if you park on the road.

It was snowing on Hoosier Pass this morning, and I bailed off a climb because it looked like it was getting worse. The weather hasn't been holding and the snow doesn't seem to be accumulating except where the wind is drifting it.

Hell all I can say is there's tons of backcountry. If you need a partner look me up, I'm in Frisco.

It's sick. Boulder Canyon, Flagstaff Canyon for sweet bouldering, El Dorado Canyon for some classic trad. The Flat Irons has stuff. Go to climbingboulder.com and do a search for the area. summitpost.org might be helpful too.

Jaques Peak is in the near future. They are doing control work on it now. They may be leading people back there as early as late next season.

Yes they are planning on it. Also they are extending Sierra to the top of the peak. A gondola is going in over by Union Creek as well. Check out the forums on Copper site, it's a fairly recent topic.

I love my Guns. I have them mounted AT. I like 'em because I can take them anywhere and they aren't a pain in the ass, it's the only ski I have other than my tele's. I'm in Springs too, where are you skiing at?

Ya, I was making knee to waist deep turns where I was, but we were mostly skiing low angle trees. Above where we were is a very small pitch that had the super wind slab action goin on. We cut a few turns on it, but it just wasn't worth the work to ski up there.

Kevo, what aspect of Greys and Torreys are you looking at? Beacons are only a body recovery device if you're solo or your crew isn't in the know. I was in the Tenmile BC both Sat and Sun on primarily N NW facing slopes and the pack is fragile, all this new snow is super heavy and the bottom...

Ya you're right the run is Gunbarrel, I grew up skiing there it's great. There also used to be a BC access gate if ya know where to look.

The place is sweet, Thanksgiving might be a little thin comparatively, but almost definatly better than Summit. They are almost always 100% open by the first of the year, and January usually turns out to be deep. Last year was amazing.
