    These are my every day ski and I ski in VT. I don't ski park much (at all) but I can tell you they carve on groomers very well, rip the trees, make good short to long radius turns. The only thing that's bad is ice and moguls. It's not like you can't ski moguls on them, but the extra width...

    Quick noob question

    wax them....it's like the difference between driving a car with a 4cyl engine vs. an 8cyl engine.

    What do you use to clean the base of your skis

    it's messy, but I just hot wax. Lay the wax on there as you would normally, then immediately scrape it off while it's still hot/warm.

    Kung fuga sizing

    this is true. K2 measures the running length of the ski, IE, only the part that actually touches the snow. Other companies measure true length, or right from the tip to the tail. So a 179 K2, when compared to other companies skis, is more like a 184ish.

    DO NOT...I REPEAT...DO NOT "just crank your din". Fastest, easiest way to a blown knee.

    Skiing without ACL?

    I would say closer to 6 months for sure...keeping in mind I've done this twice. If you have surgery, listen to your doctor, listen to your PT, do everything they say to the letter. You really loose a lot of muscle after surgery due to lack of use. So you need to get in a good PT program to...

    Skiing without ACL?

    I've blown out my ACL twice in the last 8 years. Both times it was repaired. With that said, I never skied after I blew my ACL. In my mind, waaaaayyy too risky because you have a greater potential to blow out your whole knee if do get in a twisting fall or what have you. Take a season off if...

    Ski Movies on Netflix

    **I did a search on this before making this thread and didn't find anything.** Just a heads up that Netflix has a decent selection of ski movies...nothing really recent, and only a few movies from last year, but I've got RealTime on the way. It's pretty cool if there was a movie you didn't...

    Racers = sick jibbers?

    we are all skiers. period. once you get older and realize that stupid arguments like this get you/us no where! it's like comparing skiers and snowboarders, east coast vs west coast, blacks vs whites, christians vs muslims...it's all pointless.

    Armada's new alpha 1

    i think any new ideas/constructions/shapes in skis are great. some work out, some don't...i'll probably never ride a pair of alpha's, but i'm stoked on fresh ideas in the ski industry.

    Back to skiing after ACL surgery

    I'm going to have to call bullshit on your first statement. Both times I blew my ACL, it was from twisting my knee.
