These are my every day ski and I ski in VT. I don't ski park much (at all) but I can tell you they carve on groomers very well, rip the trees, make good short to long radius turns. The only thing that's bad is ice and moguls. It's not like you can't ski moguls on them, but the extra width...

this is true. K2 measures the running length of the ski, IE, only the part that actually touches the snow. Other companies measure true length, or right from the tip to the tail. So a 179 K2, when compared to other companies skis, is more like a 184ish.

we are all skiers. period. once you get older and realize that stupid arguments like this get you/us no where! it's like comparing skiers and snowboarders, east coast vs west coast, blacks vs whites, christians vs muslims...it's all pointless.

i think any new ideas/constructions/shapes in skis are great. some work out, some don't...i'll probably never ride a pair of alpha's, but i'm stoked on fresh ideas in the ski industry.
