    good call, volkl make some of the best twin tip/fat skis. they are plenty of shitty skis out there, volkl isnt one.

    a company called six six one (sixsixone.com) makes great padding for mountain biking. but they make the same stuff altered for ski/snowboarding. they make some nice padded vests, that protect your chest, collarbone, spine and kidneys well. broken ribs and collarbones arent much fun.

    if you center mount your skis, then yes go super long or if you ski big mountain terrain. but if you are setting them up traditionaly or ski in the east, you dont need to go that long.     Mount snow

    i work at mt snow. bc of the crappy early season and the scramble to make snow after that january rain/melt, the new park probably wont be up this year. BUT i'm not a snow maker, all i hear are rumors. they made a lot more snow recently than planned, so it could happend, but probably not.

    its tough overall finding a fatty ski for the park too. maybe stick with a park ski wit ha sub 90mm waist. utah pow can be skied with 85mm waist skis.

    If you mount tradition for all mountain go short 170-175. If you center mount for park go long, 175-180

    07/08 volkls?

    Volkl has a wider karma coming out next year, called the bridge. Its 92 mm under foot. I skied it at a trade show last week along with the new mantra, gotoma, AC4 and Tiger Shark. Next year's volkls are sick.

    I work in a shop and fit ski boots for a living.....i've demoed cheap boots and work I do work on boots at this price range. you get what you pay for.

    Mojo 80/90 or volkl karma

    i work in a ski shop, i can have most any twin tip very cheap.....i've been skiing public enemies for 2 seasons now. The karmas are sick....definetly on par with the P.E.s
