It's the foam core that sucks. They may be fine on the rails (I have not skied them) but that would be about it. After about 2 weeks, you will give up on them.

It's actually plausible. I read somewhere that Oakley was going to be the next investor in the Karhu/Line complex but it fell through. If that's true, Oakley's interest in extending the brand is more a 'when' than an 'if.' That being said, I haven't seen any Oakley skis.

The model I saw will be at least 10 wider than last year, and the graphics won't suck (if they;re smart enough to keep the one from the prototype). They'll be cheep too I heard (at least for pro price). Glad they lost that Line connection.

That guy was right. I was told that they used the Karhu plant for their first batch, but left them when they got all uppity. They make their own now in the USA and have some cool looking fat skis and twins coming out. I rode up in Vail with one of their testers or sponsored guys or something...

Saw prototypes of the Liberty Skis new wide skis. The new graphics are sick, which is good because the old graphics were awful. Also heard that the new twin tips are a better rider design model. They have severed ties with those Kreepy Karhu guys I heard.
