    Best Symmetrical Ski...dicuss

Moment Reno Jibs are the funnest park ski I've ridden. They are symmetrical but ride great everywhere. Super light and poppy.

    Big mountain or park?

I love both. My favorite run in the world is at Schweitzer. There's a cornice drop into some bowl chutes that are super fun. They lead you straight to the park. Best of both worlds...

Is anyone here old enough to remember hart skis?

Yep, I remember em. I think Loubeck was one of their main riders...

    Park/Pipe Skis and Size

Check out the Moment Reno Jibs. They're the best park ski I've ridden to date. Tons of energy, hold a great edge, and have half the swing weight of anything out there. They're pretty cheap too. At least give em a look at momentskis.com.

When jumping w/skis off jump or onto rail do you....?

If you're popping off a lip, usually people just jump. The shape of the lip loads your skis and when you pop, they give you a bit of a boost. However, on urban style, where the take-off is flat, it can take more of an ollie to get some pop. Probably depends on preference too and what kind of...

    Edges Coming out

If you don't want to spend the money at the shop, you can try to fix them at home but it's a bit tough. Are they in pretty good shape besides that part of the edge? You can do a lot with some marine epoxy and a dremel tool to make them hold up longer. I've got some old troublemakers with...

    Rails vs boxes

I enjoy both for different reasons. I think people put more boxes in parks because they are easier and less people get hurt on them, but they're still a good time, as long as the still keep the rails around as well.

    Rodeo's?

Good advice on the jump. You don't want to go huge, and you don't need to. If you have it dialed on the tramp, you'll have plenty of time to get it around on a poppy 25 footer. 5's are the easier one for sure. The main thing is to find a jump you feel comfy with so you can concentrate on...

    Moment reno for east?

I ride the Renos as my main ski. They have a lot of pop, tons of energy in a carve, and hold an edge well. They are super light giving them a lower swing weight than any other ski I've ridden. I definitely recommend them, no matter where you ride (Except super deep pow). Too bad they only...

Anyone ever been stabbed with there pole when they crash

I have a friend who took one to the stones and now is one short. The pole broke and he took the broken end in the junk. Not a pretty picture...

    How big are your poles?

I ride with my normal length poles. I just use the old fashioned way when you flip the pole over, grab underneath the basket and if your elbow is at about a 90 degree angle, they're good. Do whatever feels the most comfortable though...

    Rail help

If your edge is catching, detune. If you're sliding out, the biggest thing is to commit and keep your spin on axis (for the 270). Think of putting most of your weight on your front foot when you land. Keep you hands in front of you, have your feet about should width apart, and bend your...

Some tips on my first rail

Start on a short box if you can, that will be the easiest to learn on. If you have new skis, I would file the edges down a bit so that you won't catch. Also, make sure you can hop a 180 just while you're on the ground. If it makes you feel better, try just riding over the box straight a few...

    Potential 360 problem.

As you practice more, you'll begin to have more of a sense of what is happening around you. Try to concentrate on keeping your eyes open and looking for your landing to come around. Spotting your landing means that you watch for it, and then adjust your body position (tuck, open up, etc.) so...

    Advice plz related to trampolines

Probably depends on whether you are on a big tramp or just trying things into the pit. I would reccomend working on a big tramp for starters. Sure, it's fun to huck things into the foam pit, but what you really want to work on are some of the basics of spinning and flipping, which are better...

    Rails...unnatural

Learn unnatural first. It's always best to start with the basics and work you way up. From there, you could either do 270 or switch-up. I learned 270 first but now find switch-ups to be easier. Do whichever one feels more natural. Find a box to try it all on, them move to rails.

    Riding swtich problem please help

Most people naturally have one shoulder that is easier to look over, due to flexibility. It shouldn't hinder you too much to spot the lip over one shoulder and then spin the other way. Keep practicing looking over both though, especially if you're riding all mountain...
