    Looking for Stiff Park Skis

I have a pair of 180 cm Candides with P12s in nice condition that I am trying to sell (never seen a rail, bases and edges in fabulous condition, some stress cracks in top sheet that are just cosmetic). Message me if you are interested. Awesome ski, I just have shorter mad trix and little big...

Lost a rivet on Public Enemys

I've seen the rivets gone on pistols and PEs. Doesn't seem to affect the durability from what those people said.

    What Skis???

1080s are soft and squirly on hard stuff. If you are out east, get some mad trix. I live in Wisconsin, and those things go through a lot landing on ice and they can still carve hardpack/ice if I want. Don't get any Salomon twins if you live in shitty snow areas...just my two cents.

    Local Shops ski test results...

Thanks for the info. That is exactly the kind of reviews this site needs. I am sick of the 'My public enemeys kick ass' or 'Line is terrible'. As for your testing, your shop owner sounds like an awesome boss...something this sport needs. Next year you guys should take before and after pics...

    Learning tailgrabs..

When you are in the air, first just look back to see where it is. Then next time look back and grab it. The third time you should be able to get it without looking. Once in a while you will miss or get it with your pole or wrist, no biggie. Practice makes perfect.

    Mt. Bohemia

It gets thin up there this time of year, but they should have enough snow to be almost completely open. They may get some snow, but it has been warm and I wouldn't count on anything. Either way, it will still be pretty good. I was there 3 weeks ago and it kicked ass. Some great 15 foot drops...

    Best all around ski

I have the 172 MadTrix 2003s without the systems mounted with P10s. I mounted them big mountain, but 3cm forward from center. They are an awesome ski in the park, powder, or even the midwest ice. The flex is stiffer than most twins, so than can cruise at speed too. If I were to do it again...

    ANIMAL LIBERATION.

Since the human body is made to break down meat for energy and protein, I think that it is pefectly acceptable to eat meat. As far as vegetarians saying that eating meat takes up too many resources, there is more than enough food to feed everyone on this planet at the moment. The problem is...

My edge broke on my candides

you don't have to throw the ski away. Most shops can put an entire new edge on for around $40. My buddy ripped a section of edge off of his candides at Steamboat and they fixed it in a day. Check it out, it is entirely possible to fix.

    Weight

mad trix are heavy with the plate on it. Otherwise, they are very average. The new Volkl Vs are about the lightest ski I have ever seen (also feels like it would break).

    Bases

you can get ptex anywhere you can buy wax....local ski shop, rei, outdoor store, etc. as for a base weld, do it yourself with slow curing epoxy. Then score the top really good with a knife after it cures and melt ptex into the hole. use a scraper to make it smooth to the base. job done.

one day of skiing put me back another 50$

as long as the gouges did not affect the edges or crack the core, you should be good to go. To only way you would notice it after the fix would be skiing on hard pack really fast. OtherwiseI think it would be hard to notice. I pushed in an edge on a pair or new bandits a few years ago, and...

    Skier sues lake louise

Because of people like this kid (or his parents), ski insurance is getting VERY expensive. For a small terrain park, insurance costs an extra $50,000 a year...much more in some places. If people keep suing, we won't have parks anymore....so don't let your friends sue mountains for their own...
