    Sarcasm

He actually had a point: the only sarcastic show i've seen on TV so far, for instance, is Seinfeld. Only one out of a zillion... Sarcasm & irony are just not that common in the States, why do you guys get offended by his comment? Dupe, on ther other hand, you're directly asking for trouble...

    Sarcasm

There must be something in the air because there is already a nice rant about the US in the media section/big mountain; the picture with the Flag... Go on, i'm really curious to see how this post turns out.

    Where to ski in Europe?

Yeah, if in November, make sure you go somewhere where there is a glacier... last year, the world cup started in Soelden (Austria) at the end of October. I guess it's pretty decent in late November.

    South Africa

let's give this post a chance NOT to turn into shit: i have only heard of TIFFINDELL. Here is the website: http://www.snow.co.za/ If i were you, i'd go winetasting instead while in South Africa; but hey, if you're that hooked...

    Chamonix or Val D'Isere?

i'm sorry for you friends, pal. But honestly, i've never heard of such a massive public health problem there... It seems like a rare, isolated event to me. Maybe they didn't like the French beer? :-))

    Chamonix or Val D'Isere?

Val d'Isere is connected to Tignes, so you'll have plenty of opportunities there. Personnally, a bit before on the road, i like La Rosiere: it has cool terrain and you can make a day trip (skiing of course) to Italy for some awesome pasta de la casa!!!

Going to Austria, help me out.

i went to Soelden last year and it was the bomb. Closer to Innsbrueck is Kitzbuhel, but not sure. Anyway, be ready for the best apres-ski on the planet, man: the Austrians know how to do it right.

    Skiing in France

I'd say Chamonix if you there only for a short period of time. If you stay the season: try the Tarentaise valley, like Bourg-Saint-Maurice, which is close to all the kick-ass resort: La Plagne, les Arcs, Tigne/ Val d'Isere. Sainte-Foy is very unknown, only a few lifts, but has one of the best...

    Argentina anybody?

D-3 before i leave for Buenos Aires! Holly crap i can't wait. Chapelco man: how's the snow in Catedral? Do people ski the Tronador?

    Argentina anybody?

Both Chile & Argentina have now stable governments. The fact that a few tourists got mugged by some not-so-well intentionned people doesn't mean it's Bagdad. 1 USD = 3 Argentinean pesos, think about that... I pay $15 per night for a youth hostel in Bariloche, can't compete with that.

    Argentina anybody?

I'm gonna go to Cerro Castor and then Bariloche the 3rd week of August; won't have enough time for Las Lenas :-(
