I've always got my helmet on on the hill. Its warm, they look fine, i'm spending too much money at university to splatter my brain on the inside of my skull.

The p-tex in the bases dries out and sucks if you don't wax it regularily. I wax mine as needed, or once a month, depends... Same with edges, i normally file mine when i wax them.

This sounded really familiar, which is probably cause we're from the same hill. So yah, thats the rule at Canyon. I think most resorts are that way for liability reasons.

Ski patrol and staff at sunshine say that angel chair will be open this friday (Nov. 17). They were randomly running the divide chair for the ski patrol all weekend so it'll probably be going too.

Go to a Rona or Home depot or something and look at plastic sheet things. I found some stuff that works really well and it wasn't too bad, $10 or so for a 2X4 sheet. Depending on how fat your box is you can just cut strips and you're set.

I was at sunshine all weekend and it was pretty good. A bit whiteouted as usual. They didn't have goat's eye open or divide or angel running, but angel is supposed to be up and running on friday. Anyways, lots of soft stuff if you're willing to get out from under the lift line.

Just round them where the rail goes, cause if you round the whole thing, there is nothing to make you turn.

I'd rather see someone ski like a snowboarder (A lot smoother, watch some snowboard vids) than try and dress like one.

Canyon in Red Deer has horses in the summer, so there is random hitching poles (two fence posts with a flat bar between them) all over the place. One is on a knoll that the chair goes directly over at its lowest point and a friend in the chair in front of me thought it would be fun to jump off...
