i just made a short 12 foot rail and im dropping in on a slide and i still go kinda slow on the rail so id do a 16 ft rail

i did but im still going to slow should i put boards or somthing under the carpet

i made a summer rail but im having trouble getting speed for it. Its like a foot and a half tall and im dropping in off a slide onto some of the indoor outdoor carpet stuff but i'm going to slow to really jump and lock onto the rail.... and ideas on how to fix this?
