ARG! its a pirate's life for me!

ah, this be where you're incorrect sir. Spatulas proved to be one of the most versatile soft snow ski for those of us who like them. The torpedo nose goes right through crud. As long as you're not on hard pack they're awesome. The newer designs (ARG) have taken some of the groomer 'fun' out...

How would the bacons be as park skis?

what's your snow like in ontario? If it's mostly ice I think you'll regret it.

Switch Skiing No Longer allowed at Alta

Have you ever been to Alta, that has nothing to do with why it is a 'ski only' resort. They don't allow snowboarding because so much of the mountain requires traversing to access. Snowboarders would have a difficult time and likely cause back-ups on the many traverses.

    "The Stash"

The cabin will not be staffed. It's meant for people to stop in and pay homage to Craig Kelley. The hope is that people will respect it and not trash it, or abuse it. Though because people have no respect, expect to stumble upon some nasty stuff in that cabin.

Salomon Foil - X Wave Boots --- Same Fit?

Exact same fit, foil is part of the x-wave series, so just the 85 flex and the shock absorbers. But yes, if you fit an x-wave 10, you will fit a foil boot.

    "The Stash"

We got a little preview from the park crew last weekend, minimal grooming (this will just get shut down if the landings are too messed up). No grooming when it snows, should be fun to open on a powder day.

Are fat skis getting out of hand?

If you live in the west, then nope, they're not out of hand, they are perfect. I have a pair of spatulas that will probably see 20-30 days this season, and many people ski their's more. I will be on a 99 waist and up for probably 75 days of the year. When the snow is soft, they ski better. I...

BC ski for a big fella

Bacon's for big lines? for a big guy? You're going to want something much straihter and stiffer if that's what you're skiing. My reccomendation 188 superstiff bros (pmgearusa.com) Shipping might be an issue for you, but they ski awesome. I'm 6'2 190 and have the stiffs, they're awesome, ski...

I like my barryvox, about half the size of the tracker. The new stuff coming out is going to be awesome, but hold out until it is more widely accepted.

Prophet 130s...to use brakes, or not to use brakes...

I had this dilema with my spats, I decided to just get the wide brakes. Do they do anything? not really. They make carrying the skis easier, but that's all. Don't use leashes. Only real reason is for the resorts, and the fear of losing one on a groomer.

    Suggestions on pow skis

Go with an untraditional shape, you'll never go back. I don't know what spatulas are going for on ebay these days, I know the price has gone up, but really anything with reverse camber. You'll love them. Oh and you don't need ridiculous amounts of snow to work them, they're awesome in...
