its best to go with film when your learning because it makes you think more about each shot, so i would say pentax k1000 and when you upgrade to digi you can take your lenses to because pentax hasent changed there mount in a while, and pentax digi bodies are preety good.
sequences are for people who cant take pictures.
and i would say nikon d70 if you want to do some flashes the 1/500 synch speed is money
or a canon 30d or 20d
