I'm planning on getting a pair of the 09's this fall too. I can't decide on length though... I'm 5'10" 175lbs. I'm deciding between the 184 and the 177. Any thoughts?

The 08/09 Anthems have the sickest graphics of any ski this year (in my opinion, of course), they're cheaper, and they'd be super fun for just fucking around on. But, I think they'd be useless on ice and hard pack (i.e. MN all season), and I worry that they'd just wash out on me on landings...

Yeah, that's the whole problem, I'm not sure which way I want to go, stiff or soft. Given that I'm 5'10" 175lbs, I'm leaning toward stiff. I'm just affraid the Anthems would be total noodles for me. Or, just get both! Of course then I need two sets of binding too... so more like $1440 if you...

That's kind of what I'm afraid of. I'm sure they'd be awesome in the park and for softer snow (which exists maybe once a season out here), but I don't want something that'll be a total noodle when flying down groomers... so is that the case? I have Fujitives right now, which are total noodles...

I'm 5'10" 175lbs. I do end up flying down groomers a fair amount. I'm not too worried about them being buttery, I just don't want something so stiff that it isn't any fun to mess around on jibs and stuff.

Thanks! Are the fire iridium and black iridium really for blue bird days? Those look the coolest, in my opinion, but there's no point in getting them if they're not very good for mix conditions...

So what Oakley lenses are the best all around choice? In MN it's usually overcast, with some mix of sun...

What's your height/weight? Are they still fun or playfull in the park despite their stiffness? I'm looking at these too. I don't want a noodle, but I'm just worried that these will be too stiff for rails/jibs/butters, etc.

I'm looking at getting a pair of '09s this year, but how do they perform out of the park? Ice, groomers? Are they too soft to really charge hard? Also, I'm a little worried about the 93 waist in the park... I'm used to narrower skis for park. Is it that much different? Thanks!
