yeah dude, my troop used to be really chill like yours. everyone was pretty normal and cool, had lives outside of scouts too. we never really wore uniforms unless we were absolutely required too, and we laughed at the weird kids from other troops. unfortunately the group of kids one year younger...

This is pretty much it. Why worry about one guy selling a few stickers? Some companies, Red Bull being a pretty obvious example, will make a big deal of it. Still, others don't seem to care much.
