at my home mountain (Tyrol Basin in Wiscomtpon) it honestly seems like 99.9% of the people don't ride with the bar down. i bet you could sit on the hill for 10 minutes and watch the lift and not see one chair with the bar down. shit, one time I rode up with two ski patrolers and they didn't...

the "fake grass" is called astro turf and yes, you can get it at home depot or any similar store. its not very expensive, and don't forget to soap it up when you use it

we are freestyle skiers afterall, and rails have become a big part of the sport just like powder. But i do agree, on powder days you gotta get outta the park and go shred the untracked

my whole set-up is 2 ft wide (including the jump) and its not as sketchy as you might think. However, my friends setup is all 4 ft wide and it is so much sicker. so 2ft is not a problem, but if you can, have it be wider.
