    Atomic Twins -- Any Good?

I believe this dude knows what he's talking about. I also rode old Mad Trix, and just converted to a pair of Urban Triplets. I can't speak about the quality cuz I've spent only two days on them, but they are fun & light skis. I center-mounted them, so they require a bit more effort out of the...

It's true. That sunshine pass starts paying dividends on Monday.

What do you think of Atomic Triplets?

I'll stick w/ my MOJO 15's, thanks. Though I've had them before, and the brakes have needed "readjusting" a few times, these bindings actually release when they're supposed to. And since all binding brakes take a beating landing switch, I can't really say too much bad stuff about the higher...

Why is Bigwhite & Silver Star closing with a 2.5 meter snowbase?

The Kicking Horse website says that they're closing on SUNDAY too. They have a redic. amount of snow too. 2.5m at MIDSTATION, and way more up top. I hope they don't shut 'er down, cuz I know I'll still keep going. 1 day left on the snowmax card as well.

Post if you've broken your brakes

I've also at least BENT every brake I've ever rode. I've also busted 3 brakes clean off before (too many bend-backs) and also snapped a plastic part on my solly 914Ti's when I tried to bend them back. I weight about 185lbs. The heavier you get and the stiffer ski you use, the worse the...

Should I turn down my bindings for park skiing? If so how much?

Ya, DINS are based on a lot, and it has the a lot to do with height, weight and terrain. Eg. I'm 190lbs, 5'11, and I park DIN 10, big mtn 11 or 12. If I was taller, at the same weight, I'd drop my DINS. [Lankier guys need to protect their ligaments more. Longer = greater moment forces on...

An intellectual ski discussion. help me out!

Ever considered the most versatile ski ever: Solly Gun?...or similar? Also, I'm a huge fan of the Head 90 (mojo) ski. It's stiffer than most, but it's super durable, and AWESOME in all of the conditions that you're looking for. The Gun (94 waist - I think) is better in POW (due to fattyness...

Level 1's Josh Berman and Poor Boy'z Pete Alport fight in Utah Backcountry

One of 'em picked up a snow machine, one handed and all, then swung it at the other, but missed...that's what cracked the windsheild....and as he was putting it down, a pelican poked out his front teeth like, mistaking them for his eyes. It was wicked. You should'a seen it. That's progression.

    Bandana on the face

So when they nut them selves on the easiest rails on when the yard sale and burn off of an easy jump, no one can tell who they are. That's why the bandanna is handy.

I just attached string to my bindings so i can take the fatties out tomorrow

If you hang your dong outta your pants every time you get on the lift, the lifties won't be looking at your skis. Trust me on this one.

    Banff Conditions through April

Word. Like buddy said, you'll there'll be POW and Sun/Slush, but it's a damn good time to ski. Just don't be stupid and go off-piste looking for "POW". In April there's usually no such thing, and it's can be friggin' dangerous due to heating/cooling cycles. There'll be plenty of coverage and...

Ride from Calgary to Banff April 6th - will pay!

I can't do the 6th (FRI), otherwise, I'd prob. be able to help you out.....but do your homework dude. There is a shuttle from the airport and from Calgary. Each will prob cost you around $40-50 each way. If you have to come to Calgary, a cab to NE will be $15. A cab to SE will be...

    Janie pierre

Since when is "Landing on your head" taking the impact with your whole body. That guy's taking unreasonable, stupid risks. As it has nothing to do with skill, it's not progression, that's regression. That's my take on a 250ft cliff.
