Salomon makes pretty nice helmets now too.
They have the typical removable visor, but a much nicer chin strap. I've had a problem with the cloth covering on the chinstrap falling apart on a couple of giro helmets i've had in the past.

you'd think that Armada would catch on and change how they contstruct their skis so there's less chipping. I bet if they changed their construction to be more like salomon's they would have less complaints and less waranties, and probably higher quality skis
i'm not sure if they will send them back to you but you should get some pair of skis back, either your old ones, a pair of this years, or next years ar6. Either way, amplid skis look pretty sweet. core company.
i'd say dumonts and thrusters are both great options. the dumonts are no doubt stiffer than the thrusters, so you'd have to put some more weight in them to pop, but if you don't have a lot of money, meaning you won't be buying new skis every season, you might want to go for the dumont. I think...

last summer i bought some of this stuff at home depot. for $40 i got two strips that were each 2ft wide and 10ft long. It's even more slippery when you spray it down with water. you don't go too fast, but it sure beats sitting on your ass waiting for winter to come
