You can't get "noticed" by winning the middle of wisconsin buttfuck open. The reason that you "get noticed" is because you beat the people who are already noticed. Typically there isn't any other venue where you can even get a chance to compete against established pro's.

I went to A basin for the first time in my life today...it was also the last time in my life. they reported 6 inches new snow...which was more than keystone and breck...so I figured I'd give it a shot. My gf and I skied 3 runs and went home. It was worse skiing than I've done on the east coast...
