Do any of you know what they look like? I looked through entire threads but didn't find anything about the Scartch FS for next year. I'm wondering if I should hold on to this year's Scratches, or sell them for the cash right now and pick up next year's model.
I find it funny how almost everybody is either against or for Bush... not the administration. Bush ultimately makes the decisions, but it seems that people forget that he has advisors.
If an advisor wanted Bush to do something, all that person would have to do is selectively choose what...
I'd personally like a little more considering that they're not used at all and that I could sell them for about $400 USD locally...
But if that doesn't go through, I'll be putting them up on NS.
There's a whole load of stuff regarding California labour laws here. Check it out as it could provide you some answers on whether or not you were wrongfully dismissed.
eh, if I were you I'd go talk to upper management. Make sure you have a legit case though when you go talk to them, otherwise they'll support your manager's decision to lay you off.
Oh yah, I should mention that these are just like 182 TMs except they have a sheet of fiberglass on the whole length of the ski to increase stiffness and enhance the pop.
It's not cool when stuff like this happens, but I mean just look at how so many kids are discriminated against in high schools. It's bound to happen repeatedly and nothing is really gonna stop it other than a change of attitudes by everybody.
Getting fired without a legitimate reason is wrongful dismissal. If they are to lay someone off because of a lack of hours, they should pull you aside.
I don't know what the labour laws are in the US, but it might be worth while investigating if you feel that you were booted for the wrong reasons.
I think there are laws against that... wrongful dimissal? If it's a seasonal position, then they could be justified. But if you were hired and passed a probation period, then I think they have to give you notice.
You might want to check up on that.
Sorry, didn't finish. When coming out of turns, the camber in a ski will help you come out of a turn with more speed and power. It's not that pronounced, but it does affect it when you come out of turns.
What?!? I think you're mistaking camber with sidcut.
If a ski loses it's camber, then it will not hold an edge quite as well. Camber also helps when you're coming out of turns.
You'd probably do better on the K2 PEs. Not only cheaper, but I believe they're a bit softer as well. They're 85mm in the waist this year too so you'll have enough float if you wander off into the pow.
