Seriously people.....what the hell. This situation seems much more simple than everyone is making it. If skiing makes it into the Olympics it will be GOOD for certain levels of the sport (more kids pick it up, level of progression rises). It will also be bad, in that it provides the PUBLIC with a limited window on what freeskiing is and worse than anything might misrepresent it. This is why Terje boycotted when snowboard pipe got the okay since it wasn't done RIGHT. Lets hope they can pull it off so we finally see more NSSA skier visits!!!

Dumont is seriously a cool dude, and Shmuck was right about saying that he's generous to people that show him love and respect. When I was in Whistler he did just that by buying me a shot after I told him he was sick. Thanks Simon.

first of all i think what Dumont does on his skis is awesome.

in my opinion it's a good thing if pipe will make the olympics. it's an opportunity for the sport to become more known and in this way getting more resources.

anybody who's hating on simon has their head way up their ass. he's fucking awesome and haters are just jealous.

pushing our sport into the olympics will put it in the public eye, but face it, do we really want all that? freeskiing is a community that you actually have to get out there an participate in, not something you watch on the telly once every few years. i don't think that's really the direction we want to move in.

skiing needs to be in the olympics. some might argue that its not like a tradiotional olympic sport or something but if sports like snowboarding and bobsleding r in it then skiing should be in it.
