First off, that edit was really sick. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and can't wait for the rest of them if the others are better!
I also think that song was a dope choice. Who cares if it was used in Happy Dayz? Jon kinda said that the whole point was to remind him and us of before, when skiing was really fresh and exciting. It reminds me of old times back in grade 6. That feels like ages ago...
And the goggles are kinda sick. They look like those retro oakley shades without the bottom frame. Designer gogs are so fitting for Jon. Why would he put out something mainstream or G'd out? That wouldn't be like him.
Everyone should quit bitching and just be stoked on this stuff.
Everyone saying the goggles are too expensive obviously don't have many skills in business. They aren't targeted at users of this website who have no money, so it isn't surprising that Jon is getting price policed.
I personally love the goggles- I think they fucking look sweet as shit- Kind of like some high-end sunglasses. And more power to him for finding a niche in an overplayed market. Honestly, I would buy these goggles in a heartbeat. The skiing on the other hand was absolutely epic. Loved every second of it.
NS seems so offended about a product which isn't targeted at them. Most big skiers ride for companies with overpriced goods - Dumont started Empire, Wallisch and crew ride for Jiberish, and Jon has been on Cross/J. Lindeberg for years. What's the difference this time?
Quit the hate on Jon. He's doing a lot for our sport, most of which wouldn't be possible without his wealthy business ventures.
HAHAH 300 dollar goggles? horseshit anyone on NS will pay for that, but i guess were not his target buyers in the first place. I really wish they were cheaper because i think theyre dope
- The song wasn't particularly attracting but still reminded me of good old ski movies.
- I think the Jon's goggle company idea is a good one because he will make tons of money and will be able to reinvest it in JOSS, by inviting more riders and having more teams. The NS team and the rookie rider ideas are perfect examples as they show that Jon still cares about the freestyle skiing's community, as he still supports our choices and all of the riders who don't "ride their SUV to the mountain".
Don't worry, these goggles are not for you, but the money he will make from them will benefit you on the long run!
