this is a website to showcase skiings greatest as well as up and coming. doesnt mean you're intentionally provoking kids to go out and try the same thing. ex: I will not be trying double flips I see preformed in edits in top rated! just flat out wont! safety disclaimers in edits look tacky though, as do in articles. the differences in terrain and regulation should go as a given when reading this kind of article.
T come from ohio, a whole 200 vertical feet. I lived in Austria for a zear and went skiing every day of winter. Most amazing time of my life. It's cool that someones writing an article about it. It almost seems that North Americans have such a negative look on Europe just because, "Everything in America is better". I live in Utah now, but just nothing compares to the skiing over there. So relaxed and soo much terrain. Use your common sense, yeah you have to duck under a rope but go in pairs and don't do anything dumb. And to the comment above me, about spending your money in the US, first of all I came from one of those "glorified garbage dumps" and turned out to be a fine skiier, keeping up with my friends who had been skiing in Europe since they were little. And why not spend a little more and go there, American resorts are overpriced.
actually... it really sucks over here in europe!!!! you guys should just stay home... haw haw!!!! tom is very correct about everything, except staying in innsbruck. i live in innsbruck and it is quite expensive to stay here, much cheaper in the mountain villages (except for ischgl and especially the arlberg, super expensive) like mayrhofen where you can get a dub/ breakfast for 40 euros a nite. but make sure the breakfast ladies dont watch you snag the meat and cheese!!!!! they sure do bite in the morning!!!!
