it was a fun day...friends seshing good jibs....the no pole steeze was just a fun thing...but it also shows that they can do good tricks without the aid of poles (balance)

Well i am not trying to sound condescending cause i know those guys can rip BUT, you should try to stick with poles. I know it may be easier and feel safer to grind without poles but as was said above they will actually help your balance. Also, once you get used to skiing without poles you will be fucked if you decided to ski the rest of the mountain. OH, and saying 'they were just having fun, let them ski how they want to' is such a played out line, stop using it. Now some younger kids on here are going to watch that video and think 'gee I can ski without poles and it will be cool.' THen more and more people will, and soon skiing could become skiboarding. Understand? That is not what we, communally, want. Without poles and longer skis, skiing just becomes skiboarding. Which in turn means no backcountry or big mountain for those of you that switch. But, like you said, they should jsut ski how they want to. Go ahead and snowlerblade, at least some people on here see how stupid and pointless it is. Now if it really was 'just for fun' that would be different. but it wasnt, it was a comp, albeit a fun one, but sitll a comp that got filmed and put up on a website with thousands of members. once you can slay as good as andy or dlite, then you can diss about having no poles... its not like andy skis everyday without poles. Besides its a fucking rail jam it wasnt a big mountain competition, and even if it was andy could slay that too, poleless... so take a tip from me and shut the hell up, no one cares what you think, theyre out destroying and having a good time.
