you were the first person to truly inspire me to get into skiing, even though i never knew you, you changed my life. life is such a funny thing... one who dies doing what he loves has lived life to the fullest. goodbye to a god among skiers.

wow. i met him last year, such an awesome dude, this is really, really shitty news, specially with his fam and daughter, thats the worst. so sad. RIP shane, you made skiing what it is today. My thoughts go out to your family, you'll be HUGELY missed.

Wow. i always looked at shane as kind of "invincible" and this is still crazy to me. One of the best all around skiers to ever walk the earth. Basejumping is really dangerous, especially in wingsuits. i wonder what happened? its definitely on tape somewhere.
