I did not even know Shane and never saw him in real life, but he was my hero growing up. I wanted to be exactly like him: fearless and carefree with and incredible talent for skiing and taking the most from life. He will be forever missed and eternally remembered as an originator and founding father of the sport. RIP Shane...I grew up with you, I'm sorry I can't grow old with you.
