Tanner defanitly deserved the win at pipe.i cant wait till MASSIVE comes out. im sure it will even be better then beileve.Im super stoked on his attitude towards us and the whole skiing community.
To the crowds credit, simons run did appear to be more appealing because of how big he actually goes but when you break it down and actually look st hit for hit tanner switches things up and gets r/l side spins, switch hits, all the stops. Major props to both but really the booing was totally unnessesary..The attitude that Tanner ir putting on now will mos def silence the haters, keep it up dude, the respect will only grow!
its not us who made the 180 degree turn. its you man. youve changed so much. love your new attitude and theres no denying the way you matched those transitions and performed in the xgames proves you can do all aspects of skiing at the highest level. probably on a level that not many skiers have reached yet.
some company should compile all of the tanner footage over all the years and make a video about how much you have changed. call it like "change" or something
The only thing Tanner needs to do in my book to have the crowd give him the RESPECT he deserves is go as "massive" as Simon is going in the pipe. And if you think about it if he does this think of the extra time he would have to hold his grabs and make a slightly slower and more stylish trick (he is already super stylish). Him and Simon need to learn a few things from each other. Tanner need to learn more amplitude and Simon needs to learn how to spin both ways in his pipe runs. RESPECT for honor for both amazing skiers. They are taking the sport in the right direction.
There's always a big group of whiners talking about people who got robbed at the X games, but what you don't do is disrespect the people putting on the show... because that's exactly what the X games are.
Pretty rad to see T Hall takes note of what the kids on here have to say about his skiing.
Just one thing though. Whatever you did "wrong" with Believe... please keep doing it.
I'm not even gunna lie, seeing the reaction at X made me embarrassed to be part of this skiing community. It just goes to show you that there are still too many punks and wannabes that don't know jack about the sport they claim to love...oh well.
Tanner, you were the only guy who came in from last year and changed up his run. You absolutely KILL it on everything and are without a doubt the most well rounded athlete in the sport.
Funny how none of the Tanner haters or Dumont groupies had anything nasty to say here.
My take:
1) Tanner's winning run was by far the best that pipe skiing has ever seen.
2) The booing was undeserved, and I hope it came from drunk non-skiers who'd just stayed out after other events.
3) What I DO have a problem with from Tanner is the talking down to Dumont at the end. Tanner honestly tried to give Dumont his props--he did call him the best pipe skier in the world--but the advice to spin both ways just rubbed salt in the very fresh wound from losing a minute earlier.
Great run, great mentality, (inadvertently) insulting comments.
yeah i thought tanner deserved the win from the start but i didnt always like him as a person. know hes seeming real chill. mad respect tanner keep slaying
