you people are idiots who don't want more exposure for the sport....the money generates more products, more parks/pipes, and overall more progression for the sport; who cares is simon is making money, he's doing it by drawing attention to the sport that we all love

did you know in japan sony has so many different products that they dominate nearly every industry? they make everything from womens underwear to electric blankets to the tvs and video games we love here in the US. but a few years back they started to get major hate from the japanese people cuz their brand had oversaturated the marketplace.

im not ragging on dumont or his company, but i think he should think about what his products are going to represent before "going into every field."

simon's got a good head on his shoulders, he's a smart business man and he knows how he wants to influence the sport and steer it in the right direction.

I dont understand why everyones so focused on the fact that he's trying to make money. Money makes life a million times easier. Honestly most 21 year old guys are bums and the fact that simons as motivated as he is to realize his potential not only in skiing but also in business is pretty fucking cool. Skiing needs more money, because as fun as it is the people at the top are doing it to make a living too.

I see the anti-olympic event as a big opportunity with greater access to the olympic masses/people(Whistler's going to be a zoo during 2010).

As for this Dumont idea, heck, man, it's worth a shot. Everyone knows that every business has like a 15% chance of succeeding. It's tough & you gotta want it BAD.

To all the haters, whether you like Dumont or not (I don't know him...but I don't like his image), it's way too easy to jump on the "Crap-Idea bandwaggon" cuz there's an 85% chance his idea tanks in the end. He's a skier just like you and I. Support the guy....if not with funding & purchases then with moral support.
