more people in the reviews section need to review stuff they DON'T like...i feel like people are often only motivated to write a review if they absolutely love something, but giving a full rundown on why you're disappointed in something you paid too much for is just as helpful to everyone on NS
completely agree on the bad reviews. There needs to be more. Just like in ski magazines, no one puts bad reviews in. We want to know just as much if not more than the good stuff.
Also, pleases don't half ass your reviews. I try to make mine as in depth as I can, where I see some that are like
Q: Describe the performance
A: They are good. I recommend them.
That is a bullshit review. Please take the time to do it correctly and include everything you can.
Yeah, after only seeing 9/10 and 10/10's, i kinda lost faith in this review idea. Kids who give a review of one ski while having never skied any other ski in their life does not give me a good idea of how it performs.. My suggestion would be to let people know what similar products you've used and which you preferred. for example, the contour review would have been more helpful if the writer had also used GoPro and/or a different camera. or perhaps said "i chose to go with a contour camera over the gopro because of________, and i am (happy/unhappy) with that decision because _______.
also when saying "the batteries last super long," it would be rad if people could specify.. number of hours? number of days? More concrete numbers and objectivity will make for better reviews.
