Are you referring to the trip with the UVM Ski and Snowboard Club? Yeah, its worth it. A bunch of college kids in Europe for Spring break, you can't go wrong. Plus $1350 for a trip to Europe is a steal. Airfare alone is at least 800 bucks right now since the taxes to fly to Europe is over $200.

Longboard skateboarding is sweet. Its a nice way to go fast on hills in the summer (but the feeling resembles snowboarding more than skiing). Plus, its really easy to pick up. Anyone who uses a short board and does tricks and grinds gets mad props from me.

What is mammoth like late season? I know they stay open until 7/4 usually. Is it like the east where they close because of lack of snow or are the trails well covered until close?

Alpine Shop in Burlington, VT is my employer, so its a natural choice. Joe Jones in Scarborough, ME (and a few locations in NH) is my other favorite.

haha, so true if that happened. it wouldn't happen for a while because burton would have to start getting hyped in the industry and among shops that would sell the skis and shops are buying right now/already ordering next years stuff. i think this coming season it wouldn't be feasible.

Burton Corporate might make skis, but there is no way they would make it under the Burton brand. Being just snowboarding is there image. Under another brand...that would be feasible; especially to compete with the Quiksilver/Roxy/Rossi/Dynastar/etc combo. And if they were to partner with a...

nah, i said northeast because i know a lot of the western clubs do bus trips to the x-games and other comps. we are limited in the northeast because we dont have many large spectator competitions. if any of the clubs out west are doing something cool that we can do in the east i would like to...

Yeah, I am an officer of the UVM club and I obviously think highly of it but we are trying to get some fresh ideas to keep things lively.
