    Height/Weight & Ski length

go with the 184cm, the reason why is that they will be more stable for your weight, because the way you turn a ski is by flexing it, so you need the bigger ski. And since your on a big hill you will want the extra length under your foot for stability.

    boot flex

the flex on the x-wave 10 boot is 110. So it is stiff but at the same time boots are getting softer in forward flexing and stiffening on the torsion flex, since thats how ski's are going. The boot i have is the Nordica Beast and its a stiff boot, and i have no problem

    cheap bindings

there are two types of binding on the market, ones that will hold you in and ones that release you. A bind that you pay a 100 will release you and a binding thats about 150+ is designed to hold you in. Just try and get an old binding. Maybe one or two years old

does this gash need to be fixed???

if you know what you are doing then go a head and do it. If you don't care about your ski and you have now clue on what you are doing then just do it. If you take it to a shop they will fix the gash and tune your ski's for about 30 bucks. Well thats how much my place would do it for.

    cheap bindings

the axium are meant to be the lightest binding on the market, but every company states that they have the lightest binding. The good thing about the axium binding is that they have four points of contact on the toe piece and two on the heel. The two rollers will help release while the two...

does this gash need to be fixed???

get it stone grind first since that will level the hole out, and then get them to p-tex the base and then scrape the rest of the p-tex out. After they scrape it, have them stone grind again, it will make the base perfect. Don't just fill it with wax, the wax will do nothing for the preformance...
