comparable to jackson hole??? there must be a HELL of a lot that that picture doesn't show. it sounds gnarly and sweet, but does it honestly deserve to be mentioned in the same phrase as jackson hole?
yeah actually it does. that picture shows nothing. some of the lines through the trees are insane. im talking knee deep powder, 45 deg slopes, and trees so close that you would crap your pants twice before hitting the bottom. like brizz said, those 60 footers are insane...not so much the height just the fact that you are landing where there are more trees than landing space
it looks crazy there, looks like it's almost all blacks. thats really sweet they did that instead of going for the "family resort". Weird how it's soo flat forever and then suddenly theres a mountain out of nowhere
I'd say its more like the midget brother to Jackson Hole. It's not totally flat up there, by midwest standards. It's the the direction he took the pic. There is actually a bigger rock about 3 miles the opposite direction he's facing. You need a sled to get up it, but it's awsome on a pow day.
it's a fun place for sure. they hadn't gotten snow in a while when i was up there, but still had a great time. it actually felt like i was skiing on a mountain, and not in the midwest, it was just a ton shorter. i'll have to get back up there when it snows more sometime.<br />
