Not the best one ever, it was the basic idea of waxing. <br>
But I don't know anyone/heard of anyone else using a base cleaner, or soapy water on their skis. Usually a brass brush followed by a horsehair one is best for cleaning bases then a cloth to wipe off any extra dust. and brushing is way more important than this makes it seem like. Good demo for someone whose never waxed their skis or doesn't have all the equipment though.<br>

Yeah this is definitely a good waxing overview for someone who's never done it before, but i agree with PETER=, that scraping and brushing is overlooked a bit in this one. It is way more important than this presents it to be.
Dudes - base cleaner is how you do it if you want a really good wax job. I mean if you're showing someone how to wax their skis might as well do it right. <br>

The brass brush and horsehair in point of fact is for texturing the base. Cleaning it is a step before that. <br>

Sure most of us don't give a shit about wax, but if you want speed wax does make a big difference. I remember in the racing days everyone had their wax secrets... it was pretty crazy actually. <br>

I know that for the big pipe events they're really serious about waxing and tuning. <br>
