For the most part I love tech talk. But if your really serious about skiing the backcountry get AT bindings, not that trekker shit. They're super light and if your out there all day your legs won't regret it
well. ive heard too many super bad things about trekkers. they don't work well and they break all the time. There only purpose is to have a solid binding on the way down. THat's great! except that now there are marker dukes, which are better on the uphill by a mile and are definitely sturdy enough for the downhill. The only possible reason I can think of for matt sterbenz to use trekkers is so he can keep wearing 4frnt binders.
