thats sick, nice job, how did you know how long to make the exposure time?

Do you just shoot and hope it turns out?

Or do you use a light meter and then do the math to figure it out?

at a shutter speed of 45 min, it doesn't really matter if he's right on the dot, but he had to figure out an estimate somehow though.

its somewhat of a guessing game but if u figure its completely dark out its hard to go wrong, the only thing is that ive seen ones that have been as long as 8 hours and that wouldnt work out bacues the ice reflects far too much light so its basically set it up, aim north, and hope for the best and this one came out pretty good i think. thanks for the positive feed back
