no elbows are the huge knobs that connect the rails together

Elbows are change in direction of the rail.
So this rail goes like this down, goes to the right, flat, goes to the left, down, curve to the left.

the speed was an issue to get onto the rail and it was super sticky. You'll see some gnarly crash (Kim Bouchard died on it) on this rail in pasralines new movie.
