the plastic might be crooked, the metal plate under the ski is flush so i think they are allgood but they told me in the store that they are fine and if they break ill go back to the store and tell them that they need to get me new skis
not true, that black plastic often sits up a bit even when properly torqued down. The metal is flush on his ski and that is what you're looking for. Speaking as someone who's mounted hundreds of pivots over the years.
I have a similar thing but the plastic thing is at an angle along the ski. I freaked the f*ck out then measured. It was fine. I then noticed the same thing on my other skis that have pivots.
