Eric Pollard - Royalty (2001)

Eric Pollard truly took his skiing in a different direction then his counter parts of the time. One of the first to spin and grind both ways, Eric rejected crossing his skis and trying to win contests. Here we see him grease the first legit rail line with variations and break the mold on the stock grabs. This segment gives us a glimpse into one of the best skiers of today. If you can get your hands on a copy of Royalty, I highly recommend it, it's a great film that stands the test of time and launched Iberg's career.
those were the days. his hits in the half pipe were so sick. maybe if they still had little 8 ft. pipes park skiers would be interested in hitting them and doing styly 6 ft. airs. also, interesting how tentative and uncomfortable he looks on the rails. sick for his time obviously, sliding both ways before anyone else. but it was still at a point when rails were new and skiers didn't really know how to hit them. and that del song really brought me back. 3030 was on every skiers minidisc player that year.
